In Their Own Words
As one of the founders and former Executive Director of the Waters Center for Systems Thinking, I am now retired from my executive role but continue to serve as President of our Board of Directors. In this capacity, I remain deeply engaged with a wide range of individuals and organizations—especially in education, government and the nonprofit sector—who are committed to creating inclusive and positive systems change.
I consider myself a lifelong learner. The longer I’ve been involved in this work, the more my curiosity continues to grow. I’ve learned that the ability to ask meaningful questions, stay adaptable and remain open to new mental models has brought life-changing benefits to me and to those around me. Keep asking questions, keep learning—and remember, we are always better when we think and learn together!
